Jazz Greats - Art Farmer Music

Original release 1970

Jazz trumpeter and flugelhorn player, Art Farmer famously had a ‘flumpet’ specially made for him. His identical twin brother played the bass. The 1952 composition, ‘Farmer’s Market’ got Art noticed and he went on to perform with the likes of Sonny Rollins and Gerry Mulligan. ‘What blues mean to me? The blues are about the freest thing we have in jazz.’
